NEW YORK (AP) — Brittney Griner sat on the bench in warmups for the second straight game, sidelined by a hip injury she suffered earlier this week.The All-Star center worked out about an hour before the game against New York on the court and looked good doing an array of post moves and jumpers. ST. LOUIS (AP) — An overnight shooting in a downtown St. Louis office building killed a 17-year-old and wounded nine other teenagers, the city’s police commissioner said Sunday. One person has suffered critical injuries in a two-alarm townhouse fire in the West Hill neighbourhood of Scarborough.Fire crews were called to the complex on Ling Road in the area of Lawrence Avenue East and Morningside Avenue just after 1:30 p.m. Sunday. When they arrived they were met with smoke coming out of the entrance to the building. Firefighters rescued one man from the building who was absent vital signs at the time. Paramedics tell CityNews the man was transported to a trauma centre in life-threatening condition. Police later upgraded the man’s condition to serious and non-life threatening. MIFFLINTOWN, Pa. (AP) — Officials are expressing shock and sadness at the death of one state trooper and the critical wounding of another hours apart in central Pennsylvania over the weekend.Police in Juniata County said a man engaged troopers at about 12:45 p.m. Saturday near the Lewistown barracks and shot one trooper, who was taken to a hospital with serious injuries. Authorities found the man shortly before 3 p.m. several miles away in Walker Township, and a gun battle ensued that killed the shooter and a trooper, police said.The name of the trooper and suspect killed as well as the name of the wounded trooper weren’t immediately released.Gov.
