Venice homicide suspect turns himself in: LAPD

A man accused of fatally shooting another man in Venice over the weekend has turned himself in to authorities, police said Thursday.The shooting was reported around 6 p.m. Sunday in the 400 block of Indiana Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.At the scene, responding officers found a man in his 50s who had been shot. The victim was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.The suspect had fled the area by the time first responders arrived, police said.“The incident was determined to be a family violence situation involving adults that did not reside at the location,” police said in a news release without elaborating.The suspect, Donald Ray Boyce, turned himself in to police two days later.The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office later charged Boyce, 57, of Los Angeles, with murder, police said.No further details about the incident have been released.GOP leaders, Trump loyalists rally behind indicted ex-president

(KDVR) — As high winds hit the Front Range and sparked multiple wildfires around the region, another sparked at the Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge.The fire was reported Thursday around 6:45 p.m. near Quebec Street and Dick's Sporting Goods Park, according to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Brian Walshe, 48 of Cohasset has been indicted on multiple charges including murder in connection with the disappearance of his wife, Ana Walshe, the Norfolk District Attorney’s Office announced on Thursday. Brian Walshe is also facing charges of misleading a police investigation and improper transfer of a human body. He faces life in prison without parole if convicted.Ana Walshe was last seen in the early morning hours on New Year’s Day. She wasn’t reporting missing, though, until Jan. 4 when she failed to arrive to work in Washington, D.C. Police launched an extensive investigation, where officials said investigators found blood in the basement of the couple’s home, along with a knife with blood on it. Police said Walshe also made several disturbing Google searches on his son’s IPad, including “How to dismember a body.” Walshe pleaded not guilty to a murder charge in Quincy District Court in January.
